PROGRAM

Sites of educational programs will be announced here as the dates and locations are set. Three sites, two in New Jersey, one in Ohio are currently in formation.

Our book, The Key To Cancer states the thesis behind our work and describes how survival has been possible for so many "hopeless" cases. The book also represents the syllabus for our education courses; it is available at amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.

Up until now, the usual procedure for dealing with cancer involved removal of tumor with surgery, chemotherapy, and x-ray therapy. But we have long known that the immune system, energy stores, and will to live also have an effect on survival and quality of life. And we who deal with advanced cancer have all seen the rare case that has done much better than our predictions: so called “remarkable recoveries,” “spontaneous remissions”and“miracle cures.” But it does not require divine intervention to explain these happy results. A brief glance at our figures shows better than words, how this can happen. These patients find a way to increase their immunity, develop energy, or improve their attitude into a more optimistic frame of mind, or all three. They develop a new relationship, get involved in a new hobby, take on a good exercise program, change to a more healthy diet, and so on. And they keep right on going, too busy to be sick.

Most oncologists are too involved with the newest advances in their exploding field to pay attention to “complementary modalities.” And yet the addition of complementary disciplines, coming largely from Oriental Medicine and those used to dealing with chronic conditions, is reason enough to explain a “remarkable recovery” that comes to our attention. Our program exists to place these supplementary tools for healing in the patients’ hands.

Removal of “tumor burden” is the first and foremost therapeutic modality. And the relation between the patient and his or her oncologist should remain the primary therapeutic relationship. All supplementary plans are, therefore, “checked out” with the oncologist before the patient utilizes them, tailoring them to the patient’s general health, age, condition, and so on. For example, one patient's exercise program might involve a daily walk; another’s might extend to a marathon. One size does not fit all.

Our program has been in existence in one form or another since the fall of 2001. The present form consists of a series of lectures, demonstrations, and sharing sessions given over two days, with credentialed speakers from all the useful modalities. A syllabus is presented to each participant which summarizes the material and gives references for additional study. Cost of the program is modest, usually running in the $100 range. A clinical study is underway with the help of the University of Hawaii to assess the validity of the program, both as to quality of life as well as survival. Our results to date are limited but very encouraging. (See “Comments by Patients.”)

If this program interests you, we suggest you draw it to the attention of your oncologist and we will be happy to assist him or her to develop an affiliate program for your locale. It is easy to do, and several sites are presently developing such programs. All affiliate programs will be invited to provide patients to the clinical study now being developed with the University of Hawaii. (See web page on Affiliation.)

Our work has recently been published as a small volume entitled "The Key to Cancer." It is available at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble at $12.50, or in bulk at $9.00 directly from Dr. Weeder. Contact him at (609) 896-0890 or Email to Dik1536789@aol.com .
